Job description

Summary:

We are looking for a motivated, early-career Engineer I to join our E-Commerce and Martech pod. This role is designed for engineers who are building foundational skills while gaining exposure to a modern, enterprise-grade technology stack including Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), MuleSoft, and headless CMS platforms. You will work closely with Engineer II peers and a Tech Lead (Engineer III) to deliver features, fix issues, and learn best practices in full-stack and platform-based development. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, comfortable with guidance, and excited about using AI tools to accelerate development and testing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Support Development Across the Stack

  • Contribute to building and maintaining features across:
    • SFCC (including headless architectures using SCAPI)
    • Next.js and React applications
    • MuleSoft APIs and integrations
  • Work on clearly defined tasks and user stories with guidance from senior engineers

Learn & Apply Engineering Best Practices

  • Write clean, maintainable code following established patterns
  • Participate in code reviews and team discussions to improve your skills
  • Gain exposure to system integrations across commerce, marketing, and CMS platforms

Engineer-Owned Quality (TDD - Test-Driven Development Model)

  • Write unit tests for your code with guidance
  • Learn how to validate your work through testing and debugging
  • Begin using AI tools to assist with coding and test creation

Collaborate in a Pod Model

  • Work closely with your pod (Engineers I-III, Product, and stakeholders)
  • Ask questions, seek feedback, and continuously improve your craft
  • Contribute to a team culture of ownership and learning

Exposure to Analytics & Performance

  • Support implementation tasks related to:
    • Google Analytics
    • Google Tag Manager
  • Learn fundamentals of performance optimization using tools like Akamai

Core Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of software engineering experience (or equivalent internships / bootcamp experience)
  • Basic proficiency in JavaScript and modern web development concepts
  • Familiarity with frameworks like Next.js or willingness to learn quickly
  • Understanding of APIs and how systems communicate (REST basics)

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to e-commerce platforms like Salesforce Commerce Cloud
  • Awareness of marketing or CMS tools such as:
