Electrical Engineering Intern | Rogers, AR

This posting is for Summer 2027 Internship opportunities.

IMEG is hiring an Electrical Engineering Intern in Rogers, AR. Over 10-12 weeks, you'll assist in the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems for a variety of building types while working alongside experienced engineers and consultants. This paid internship offers hands-on project experience in a mentored setting.

You'll support project documentation, multidisciplinary coordination, and periodic job site observations while collaborating across disciplines and working within project budgets and client expectations. The team supports industrial and manufacturing work within broader MEP delivery, advancing high-performance, energy-efficient design aligned with MEP2050 and AIA 2030.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with electrical design tasks for projects in accordance with code and IMEG standards.
  • Assist with researching commercially available equipment and related resources.
  • Assist with maintaining client relations, project design notebooks, and permanent record documentation.
  • Assist with coordinating design and schedule needs with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment supplier teams.
  • Assist with documenting design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring design progress.
  • Assist with reviewing project documents for accuracy.
  • Assist with reviewing project documents for accuracy and completeness before final check.
  • Assist with preparing and issuing addendum information.
  • Conduct periodic job site observations and perform other services required by the contract services agreement.

What You'll Bring

Required Education

  • Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required

    Required Skills/Abilities

    • Strong interest in design consulting
    • Previous exposure to CAD and/or BIM software
    • Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups

    Preferred

    • Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred
