The Information Security Analyst Co-Op will support BTS's Information Security organization, gaining exposure to Vulnerability Management, Security Architecture, and Incident Response and Threat Intelligence while working in an agile environment and using a variety of information security tools.


• Perform incident ticket triage
• Participate in security projects that are underway during the co-op cycle
• Create and maintain documentation
• Participate in applicable team meetings
• Complete overall project presentation and present to leadership upon completion of the internship
• Maintain continuous daily understanding of the threat landscape and changes impacting the corporation
• Triage alerts for escalation and decisioning
• Develop impact and remediation updates for senior management
• Document actions taken to reduce risk based on threat indicators received


Qualifications:


• At least one completed year of undergraduate education in an IT-related degree
• Basic understanding of the network layers and how they interact
• Basic understanding of risk management principles for information technology
• Basic understanding of the threat landscape including actors, tactics, and campaigns
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Interest in a technical career in the field of Information Security
• Participation in extracurricular and leadership activities is a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Process oriented
• Excellent organizational skills
• Data visualization experience
• Aggressive curiosity and desire to learn
• Strong attention to detail


Education Requirement



• Registered undergraduate student pursuing a major in an IT-related degree, with a preferred overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
