Mechanical Engineer (Order Management)

SCOPE OF THE POSITION
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will apply engineering theory, principles, education, and applicable technology to design and develop new products and modifications and/or improvements to existing products.
Responsibilities
  • Models/Designs new products and revises existing products in compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer specifications, and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Generates product configuration layouts for Manufacturing and Upfit, to aid in the production process.
  • Works closely with Sales to answer technical questions, provide engineering support during the quotation process, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Works cross-functionally with Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Upfit, and Quality Control in addressing issues, determining root causes, evaluating solutions, and solving problems.
  • Engages in contact with several levels of employees both inside and outside the organization to obtain factual data and validate engineering designs, where a high level of professional conduct and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Analyzes product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine possible design improvements.
Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Engineering internship and/or entry-level engineering experience, preferred.
  • Knowledge of heavy-duty vehicle system architecture, preferred
