Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Intern to join New Business and Grid Access team within the Business Development area. This role is designed to provide practical  experience in the application of AI-based tools and data-driven solutions to  support process automation, grid access management, and early-stage  development of battery storage projects, as well as other technologies, such as  wind and data centers.

The intern will work closely with development, grid, and regulatory teams,  supporting real projects and gaining exposure to the full development lifecycle of energy storage assets

Key Responsibilities
AI-Driven Process Automation & Data Analysis

  • Support the automation and optimization of internal processes through the use of AI-powered tools, including reporting, data analysis, and project tracking.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of scripts and workflows using Python and AI-based libraries, as well as other open-source or commercially available AI tools (e.g. for data processing, document analysis, or decision support).
  • Apply basic machine learning or AI-assisted techniques to enhance data quality, data extraction, and analytical efficiency within the Business Development team.

Grid Access Support

  • Support the issuance, monitoring, and cancellation of financial guarantees (grid access bonds).
  • Assist in the identification and preliminary analysis of new grid access opportunities, including initial capacity and location assessments.
  • Support the preparation, review, and organization of documentation related to grid access and connection procedures.

BESS Project Development Support

  • Support the development and management of new BESS projects, from early-stage development through to the obtaining of grid access and connection permits.
  • Track project progress and assist with internal coordination across grid, technical, legal, and business teams.
  • Provide support in basic technical, regulatory, and feasibility assessments for battery storage projects.
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Energy, Industrial, Electrical, Telecommunications, Computer Science or similar), Physics, or Mathematics. It is mandatory to be able to sign an internship agreement with your university.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Python for data analysis, process automation, and integration of AI-based tools or libraries.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and platforms (e.g. data analytics, workflow automation, document processing, or decision-support tools), whether open-source or cloud-based.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or similar data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Strong interest in the application of AI and digital solutions to the energy sector, particularly renewable energy, energy storage, and power market regulation.
  • English at B2 level or higher (international working environment).
