Marine Structural Engineer (Intermediate Level)

???? Salary Range: $95,000 – $145,000 CAD

⏱ Availability: Immediate

A growing British Columbia–based engineering and advisory consultancy is seeking an Intermediate Marine Structural Engineer to join its team. This firm delivers industrial and public infrastructure projects across Canada and internationally and is known for its collaborative, people-first culture.

The Role

You will work on the design and delivery of maritime and transportation infrastructure projects, contributing both technically and through client-facing responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to take on increased responsibility while working on complex, meaningful projects.

Key Responsibilities

Technical

  • Detailed design of maritime and/or transportation structures
  • Preparation of design criteria, drawings, specifications, and technical reports
  • Quantity take-offs and support with capital cost estimates
  • Construction-phase field services
  • Structural inspections and inspection reporting (as required)

Project & Client Support

  • Assist with proposals, cost estimates, and project scheduling
  • Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative and inclusive team environment

What We’re Looking For

  • 5–10 years of experience in marine, maritime, or transportation infrastructure
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in British Columbia
  • Strong technical foundation in structural engineering
  • Comfortable working in field, industrial, or construction environments

Nice to Have

  • Post-graduate degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Experience working in the Pacific Northwest
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills
  • Client-facing or project coordination experience
