About This Role

Divine Kare Learning Center is seeking a reliable and experienced Before and after school age teacher for our preschool school age student who can also be a Van Driver to join our team. As a Teacher and Van Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting Before and after school children to and from Petersburg Public schools as well Ettrick. If you have childcare experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to communicate effectively, we encourage you to apply.

What You'll Do

Duties:

  • Safely operate a van, bus or similar vehicle to transport children
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure on-time arrivals
  • Assist children with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the vehicle
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the van
  • Report any accidents, incidents, or vehicle issues to the appropriate authorities
  • Provide excellent customer service by being courteous and helpful to passengers

Requirements

Experience:

  • First Aid and CPR
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Complete a background check
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Previous experience as a Van Driver, School Bus Driver, Bus Driver, Shuttle Driver, Limousine Driver, or Delivery Driver is preferred
  • Familiarity with local roads and traffic patterns
  • Strong communication skills to interact with passengers in a professional manner
