What does an internship level artist do?

An Internship Level Artist is a junior or entry-level role, often filled by students or recent graduates, where individuals gain hands-on experience in creating visual assets for games, animation, or other media projects. They work under the supervision of senior artists and contribute to tasks such as modeling, texturing, and concept art. Interns learn industry-standard tools, workflows, and collaborate with other team members while building their portfolios. This position is designed to help aspiring artists develop their skills and transition into full-time roles in the creative industry.

Job description

A&R + Admin Internship - Fall 2026 | Privée
Privée is GigFinesse's premium private events division, specializing in curating exceptional entertainment and experiences for weddings, private events, corporate functions, and high-profile gatherings. We work with a diverse network of musicians, speakers, specialty performers, and event vendors to create memorable experiences tailored to each client.
Position Summary
We're seeking two A&R + Admin Interns to join our Austin team for Fall 2026. This role offers hands-on experience in the private events and entertainment industry, with opportunities to contribute to both talent discovery and the operational side of managing our performer and vendor network.
One intern will focus primarily on A&R and talent research, identifying and evaluating new musicians, speakers, and entertainment options to expand our roster. The second intern will focus primarily on roster administration, researching, organizing, and adding performers and vendors into our internal systems while maintaining accurate and up-to-date information. Both interns will work closely with the Privée team and gain exposure to talent sourcing, artist relations, event operations, and the behind-the-scenes processes that support high-touch private events.
Responsibilities:
  • A&R
    • Research and source musicians, speakers, specialty performers, and event vendors, identifying new talent that aligns with Privée's client needs and brand standards
    • Organize talent information, media, contact details, and relevant booking information
    • Assist with artist and vendor outreach and relationship management
  • Admin
    • Review and correct existing roster information as needed to ensure our database remains clean, organized, and reliable.
    • Maintain and update performer and vendor profiles with a high level of accuracy, carefully reviewing each entry for completeness, consistency, and correct formatting - prioritizing accuracy and quality over speed.
    • Incorporate feedback and quality-control notes to continuously improve the accuracy and consistency of roster data.

Qualifications:
  • Passion for live music, entertainment, events, or hospitality
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • A&R Specific
    • Comfortable navigating online research and social media platforms
    • Comfortable reaching out via email, direct messaging, and phone calls
    • Strong research and organizational skills
  • Admin Specific
    • Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to completing tasks
    • Comfortable with repetitive, detail-oriented work that requires consistency and focus
    • Receptive to detailed feedback and willing to make corrections when work does not meet established standards

Additional Information:
  • This is an unpaid internship for credit only
  • Internship period: Fall 2026
