Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Jr. System Administrator to join our Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and monitoring our organization’s IT infrastructure. You will work closely with senior administrators to ensure high availability, security, and performance of our servers, networks, and cloud environments. This is an excellent opportunity for a technical professional looking to grow their career in systems engineering and infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Support: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of server hardware, operating systems (Windows and/or Linux), and virtualization platforms.
  • User Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels within Active Directory, Azure AD, or O365 environments.
  • System Monitoring: Monitor system performance, storage, and network connectivity to identify and resolve bottlenecks or potential failures before they impact users.
  • Patch Management: Execute routine software updates and security patches to ensure all systems remain compliant and secure.
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery: Perform regular backup operations and assist in testing recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.
  • Troubleshooting: Provide Tier 2 technical support for complex hardware and software issues escalated from the Help Desk.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation for system configurations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and hardware inventory.
