Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking an Angular Developer for our client in the Energy domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth. This is a Contract position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: 12+ Months Contract with possible extension

Location: Houston, TX Or Charleston West Virginia (Hybrid)

Salary: $60.00-$70.00/Hourly

Role: Angular Developer

Primary Skills: Angular, API, RestAPI, NG, RxJS, JavaScript, Typescript

Role Description: The Angular Developer must have 4+ years of experience.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate closely with the Agile POD team to convert legacy Java Swing screens into modern Angular 19 user interfaces.

- Develop responsive, user-friendly Angular front-end components using TypeScript, ensuring fidelity to the existing Swing screen functionality.

- Work alongside backend developers to integrate and consume REST APIs that replace legacy backend services.

- Analyze legacy Java Swing code to understand screen behavior and translate that into Angular designs.

- Participate actively in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives within the Agile team to deliver iterative improvements.

- Troubleshoot and resolve front-end issues during the migration process to ensure smooth user experience.

- Maintain clear communication with cross-functional team members, sharing progress and challenges on a regular basis.

- Document front-end design decisions and best practices to support future maintenance and development.

Education: Any/Bachelor’s degree

Experience: Minimum 4+ years of experience

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses
