Job description

Mercury Systems is seeking a motivated Business Systems intern to support a variety of digital transformation, workflow optimization, and AIrelated initiatives. This internship is ideal for a senior year student interested in business process analysis, lowcode application development, and emerging technologies. You will work closely with the Business Systems team and crossfunctional partners to document processes, support system enhancements, and contribute to productivity and automation projects.

Internship timeframe: May/June 2026-August 2026

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with business process documentation, including mapping currentstate and futurestate workflows for Business Systems initiatives.
  • Support requirements gathering for Mendixbased applications (including DigiThread), helping translate user needs into clear functional requirements.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) by executing test scripts, recording defects, validating system updates, and ensuring solutions meet business expectations.
  • Prepare materials, data, and analysis for Business Systems reviews, daily standups, stakeholder meetings, and project updates.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, including user guides, training materials, process instructions, and knowledgebase content.
  • Support emerging AIrelated responsibilities, such as gathering use cases, documenting workflows, testing internal AI tools, and assisting with AI governance materials.
  • Collaborate with Business Systems team members to help advance internal productivity, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the review process
