Job description

A leading multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm is seeking a Land Development Project Manager based in New Jersey.


This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced land development engineer who is looking to lead projects, mentor teams and grow within a highly collaborative organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage civil/site land development projects from proposal through completion
  • Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for repeat and expanded business
  • Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling, staffing, and QA/QC processes
  • Coordinate with internal disciplines, consultants, and municipal agencies
  • Prepare and review proposals, contracts, scopes, and change orders
  • Attend client meetings, public hearings, and municipal board meetings
  • Serve as an expert representative during entitlement and approval processes
  • Monitor project financial performance, billing, and receivables
  • Mentor junior engineers and support team development
  • Participate in strategic business development and networking initiatives


Requirements:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required in New Jersey
  • 10+ years of experience in land development
  • Strong experience with commercial and public-sector development projects
  • Proven project management and client management skills
  • Strong understanding of risk management, contracts, and project delivery
  • Ability to mentor and lead technical teams
