Summary Description:

The InteriorMaintenanceSupervisor's primary responsibility is to partner with Interior Operations Manager to overseefunctionsoftheInteriorMaintenanceDepartmentwhichincludesupervisingfieldstaffandactingas a liaison between customers and Company operations.Provide effective facilitation, delegation, and tracking consistent withthe company'smission and policies. Work with Lead Horticulturist toidentifyand resolve care or training issues.

JobDutiesandResponsibilities(EssentialFunctions):

  • Supervisemaintenanceteams, assigning and delegating responsibilities asappropriate, and in coordinationandunderthedirectionoftheOperations Manager.Ensurethataccountability standards are met.

  • Ensuremaintenanceteam suppliedwithallmaterials neededtoensurehigh-quality careinmaintainingindoorplants, green walls, and atrium landscapesefficiently

  • Monitor and order materials asneeded toensure proper equipment maintenance.

  • Gatherinformationonnewsalesopportunitiesandsend ittosalesstaffasalead.

  • Executecustomerserviceprogramsconsistentwithcompanymissionanddepartmentstandards;this includes proactive quality assurance as assigned,timelyand thorough follow-up, and regular contact/meetings with customers.

  • Working with other departments,oversee/generate necessary communications, proposals, billings, and recordkeeping

  • Conductregularqualitychecksofthe cleaning, pruning, watering, fertilizing, and pest control of indoor plantscapes to ensureoptimalhealth and aesthetics.

  • Enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring all work is performed securely,aidingwhen needed to ensure completion of required work tasks.

  • Update all systems daily, weekly, and monthlywith pertinent data asrequired.

  • Ensuresecurityofbuildingandvehiclesbycoordinatingwithdepartmentmanagersondailylock-up tasks,delegatingto Interior Departmentstaffas necessary.

  • Respond to and relay employee concerns, partnering with the Operations Manager and other membersofmanagementasappropriatetoensuretimelycommunicationandfollow-through.

  • Participateintheprocessesoftraining,andmonitoringperformanceofdepartmentstaff,includingmaintainingrecords consistent with company-wide policies and standards, as needed.

  • Provideback-upassistanceincaringforplantswhenneeded,workingsolitaryorwithapartner.

  • Enforcehoursofoperation,lunchandmandatorybreaks,andanyandallcompanypolicies.

  • Workvehiclemaintenance:

  • Maintaincleanvehiclesatalltimes,ensuringinteriorand exteriorcleanliness.

  • Removepersonalitemsfromvehiclesdaily(lunchboxes,cellphones,garbage,etc.).

  • AdheretoCompanymaintenanceinspectionpolicy.

  • Reportanyandallaccidents(regardlessofnatureandseverity)immediately.

  • Participate in company LEAN activities andmaintainareas as assigned.

  • Monitor Aspire, emails, and phone messages throughout workday and respondin a timely manner, always following the company "Sunset Rule" for internal and external communications.

  • Update andutilizeAspire in daily work, keepingaccurateand up-to-date records on all accounts.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Strong knowledge providing leadership in a quality department that is compliant withappropriate safetyand environmental practices.

  • Experience in horticulture, interior plant maintenance, or commercial landscaping.

  • Computer Skills: Comfortable and effective working in Microsoft Office,Exceland Outlook.

Level Requirements:

  • Minimum two years' supervisory experience, including overseeing a workforce in multiple customer locations.

  • Tropical horticultural background

  • Knowledge of interior plant care techniques, pests, and diseases

  • Must have a valid State Driver's License andmaintaina clean driving record.

  • Current Pesticide License isrequiredwithinfirstyear of employment. Mustmaintaincertification including Laws & Safety and Interior Plants endorsements, throughout employment.

  • Endorsements and familiarity with proper IPM strategies.

  • Strong horticultural skills including plant identification, plant maintenance, and disease and insect prevention/control skills.

  • Must have knowledge of and be comfortable using horticultural reference materials.
