  • Collaborate with psychiatry, nursing, social work, and other disciplines to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Lead or co-facilitate group therapy and assist with behavioral management strategies on the unit
  • Contribute to crisis assessment and stabilization efforts as needed
Interdisciplinary Leadership
  • Serve as an active member of the unit leadership team, contributing to program development, quality improvement, and clinical innovation
  • Support staff in managing complex behavioral presentations through consultation and coaching
  • Promote a psychologically informed, trauma-responsive milieu across both units
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care coordination meetings
Supervision and Teaching
  • Provide supervision and training to psychology interns and postdoctoral fellows
  • Support interdisciplinary staff education on psychological principles, interventions, and best practices
  • Contribute to a learning environment that supports professional development and clinical excellence

Qualifications:
Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology or related field
  • Licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist in Connecticut
  • One year APA approved internship in Clinical Psychology.
  • Completion of one year post internship supervisory experience.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in acute or inpatient psychiatric settings
  • Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based interventions and psychological assessment
  • Experience supervising trainees strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and team-based collaboration skills
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in short-term acute psychiatric care or crisis stabilization settings
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed and developmentally appropriate care models
  • Interest or experience in program development, quality improvement, or innovative care models
As an Equal Opportunity Employer/Affirmative Action employer, the organization will not discriminate in its employment practices due to an applicant's race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, and veteran or disability status.
