Job description

Do you want to complete your internship with a healing organization that specializes in the treatment of trauma through intensive community based, outpatient, residential, educational, and crisis stabilization programs throughout the state?

NFI VT welcomes the student experience and recognizes that hosting interns brings an added layer of training and development to our teams and fuels us all to think critically about our roles within our communities and the systems that serve them. We support interns and psych fellows in joining our programs for an opportunity to enrich their knowledge and enhance future goals.

Here at NFI we strive to support interns with appropriate supervision that matches the degree that they are pursing. Psychiatry Fellows will work under the supervision of a program psychiatrist, MSW or BSW interns work under a LCSW, and counseling students will work under a LMCH. The specific duties of interns will be dependent on the program that they are matched with and can vary from individual psychotherapy, group facilitation, case management and more.

Students applying for an internship with our agency should demonstrate flexibility, reliability and proficiency in interpersonal communications. The ideal student has a desire to enter into this career and a passion to add to the work being performed within our programs. A qualified candidate will be comfortable in giving and receiving feedback, will possess strong communication and documentation skills, and will work well in a team setting.

This is a non-paid, non-benefited position.
