An internship is a temporary position offered by organizations to students or recent graduates to gain practical work experience in a specific field. Internships can be paid or unpaid and typically last from a few weeks to several months. They provide valuable hands-on training, networking opportunities, and a chance to apply academic knowledge in real-world settings. Many internships can also lead to full-time job offers upon successful completion.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an intern?

To thrive as an Intern, you need a strong willingness to learn, basic knowledge relevant to the field, and typically be enrolled in or recently graduated from a related academic program. Familiarity with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, and sometimes specific software relevant to the industry, is often expected. Initiative, adaptability, and effective communication are standout soft skills for interns.
