Job description

Harry & David is looking for a student interested in a Supply Chain Analytics Intern position for a summer internship in 2026. The program is offered to undergraduate and graduate students and is located in MEDFORD OREGON.
The Intern will working with the Fulfillment Planning team in projects related to food group fulfillment and storage planning and analytics projects along with ongoing reporting and visualization efforts.
Major responsibilities of the internship position are listed below. Other duties, assignments and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of executive management.
  • Support the operational planning and management of fulfillment and storage for food group in line with demand plans and available capabilities and capacities in the network by site utilizing analytical tools
  • Create and update dashboards and reports providing insights into trends and relationships, as well as causation
  • Help develop near- and long-term storage capacity models and/or scenario plans to identify capacity impacts
  • Explore through data from multiple disparate sources, normalize/cleanse the data and perform analytical activities with the goal of identifying insights and trends
  • Design and develop repeatable processes for data extraction, validation, and transformation activities
  • Ensure data is from credible, repeatable sources and provides necessary content.

  • Enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in an undergraduate or graduate program in the fields of Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Data & Analytics, or related subject area)
  • Familiarity with supply chain management, distribution, organization structures and metrics
  • Strong analytic and technical skills, the ability to organize and analyze data and translate them into useful information and recommendations
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookup, Charts, etc.), MS Access
  • Experience with data science and transformations tools such as SQL, SAS and/or Tableau are preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, et al)
  • Ability to envision, design and develop dashboards and reports
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to work effectively as part of a team on multiple projects
  • Ability to interact and collaborate with cross functional teams including operations, site leadership and IT.
