JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for candidates looking to build a strong foundation in accounting within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
In this role, you will focus on preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and supporting the month-end close process. You will work closely with senior accounting staff to ensure the accuracy of the general ledger, investigate variances, and maintain well-supported account balances.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical accounting skills, build a strong professional foundation, and grow within a supportive and team-oriented environment.
Hybrid work environment (2โ€“3 days in-office per week, as needed)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of the general ledger
  • Analyze account activity and investigate variances
  • Assist in preparation of financial reports and supporting schedules
  • Support audit requests by preparing documentation and reconciliations
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate financial data

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Foundational understanding of GAAP and how it applies to journal entries and account balances
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle) is preferred
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Proactive, self-starter with a willingness to learn
