Job description

Ritter Communications is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our team for a paid 12–20 week internship experience. This opportunity offers hands-on exposure to a fast-paced corporate accounting environment where interns gain valuable real-world experience while working alongside experienced accounting professionals. This internship is designed to provide meaningful learning opportunities and professional development for students interested in building a career in Accounting or Finance.

The ideal candidate will be working to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, with at least 60 hours of college credit toward their degree, have a high level of motivation and eager to learn.

What You'll Gain:

  • Hands-on experience supporting month-end close activities and journal entry preparation;
  • Exposure to general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial reporting processes;
  • Experience working with daily cash postings and bank reconciliations across multiple entities;
  • Insight into sales tax compliance and corporate accounting operations;
  • Opportunity to assist with invoice coding, revenue tracking, and cost of sales analysis;
  • Practical experience researching and analyzing financial data in a corporate environment;
  • Collaboration with experienced accounting professionals on real-time business projects and initiatives;
  • Broad exposure to the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced Accounting department within the telecommunications industry.

Education and Experience:

  • Individual should have 60 hours of college credit toward Accounting Degree;
  • Assignment is for 12-24 weeks averaging approximately 20 hours a week;
  • A cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 is preferable.
