About the role
  • We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to support our hardware teams. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in embedded systems, mechanics, systems engineering, software development, and propulsion technologies critical to exploration missions.

What you'll do
  • Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of space and ocean exploration systems.
  • Contribute to systems engineering processes, including requirements definition and integration.
  • Support the development and testing of mechanical components and mechanisms.
  • Write, test, and refine software for control, data acquisition, and system simulation.
  • Aid in the development and analysis of embedded systems.
  • Conduct data analysis, simulations, and model testing.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to troubleshoot and optimize system performance.
  • Document experiments, design processes, and project progress.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute innovative ideas to solve complex technical challenges.

Qualifications
  • Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Software Engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong interest and foundational knowledge in embedded systems, mechanics, systems engineering, software development, and propulsion technologies.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for exploration and technological innovation.
  • Skills:
    • Experience with CAD, MATLAB, Python, or other relevant programming tools is a plus.

The pay range for this role is:
