Description: Title | Human Resources Generalist Department | Human Resources Reports To | Director of Human Resources Location: Dulles, VA - Hybrid (2 days) Compensation Range | $75-85k Overview The Human Resources Generalist provides support to all areas of Human Resources including benefits, compensation, reporting, training, compliance, and special projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems. Processes compensation changes; monitors the performance evaluation program. Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, auditing invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees. Plan include but not limited to medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, life, 401k, FSAs, HRAs employee referral, worker’s compensation and wellness. Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations. Assists with recruitment effort for exempt and nonexempt positions; conducts on-boarding/orientation; monitors career path program, writes and places advertisements. Assists with employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing. Maintains company organization charts and employee directory. Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database. Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. Various administrative duties to include: mail processing, file maintenance, distribution of material, word processing, power point, spreadsheets development and maintenance Performs other related duties as required and assigned. Knowledge, Skills, Education and Experience: Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration Effective oral and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Advanced level computer skills required - Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) previous experience with ADP/HRB and Taleo preferred Bachelor's degree and three (3) to five (5) years of Human Resources experience or equivalent
