Human Resources Intern

Bureau: Human Resources
College Intern (PN 20098024)
Internship Overview:
As a College Intern in the Ohio Department of Medicaid's bureau of Human Resources, you will gain practical experience in core HR functions including training and performance management, policy development, and recruitment. You will work collaboratively and independently to support various HR-related projects and assignments including:
  • Training and performance management
  • Policy development (e.g., creating and updating internal policies and procedures/IPPs)
  • Recruitment support (e.g., screening applications, onboarding new employees)
  • ADA and accessibility compliance projects
  • HR Reporting functions (e.g., running internal reports for HR-related initiatives and activities)
  • Other projects and assignments as needed

Qualifications
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university (undergraduate or graduate)
  • Preferred Majors: Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration
  • Preferred Skills: Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, Captivate, Articulate365. Experience or knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) is preferred but not required.
