Summary

Contributes to Sanford operations and processes while obtaining first hand experiences that align with the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Job Description

Works collaboratively with organization leadership, enhancing knowledge and skills and improving the delivery of quality healthcare.
Assists in a clinical setting, based on assigned department/team with delegated responsibilities. Complies with all patient safety related duties assigned. Dependent on setting, may be asked to provide assistance in providing customer service to meet basic patient needs and related activities. Assists staff with transporting patients, providing supplies and equipment, serving food, and maintaining cleanliness in work environment.
Assists in the completion of projects and administrative duties delegated, while developing skills related to the assigned function and/or location. Attends training and development opportunities, learning about various processes and functions within the organization.

Qualifications

Part of a pre-approved Sanford clinical internship program as a high school student.
Knowledge of healthcare industry helpful. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
