Job Summary

NetApp is looking for a senior product manager to join the Enterprise Storage Product Management team. A qualified candidate will have managed storage products in larger enterprise companies with a proven track record of delivering successful products and working in highly effective product management teams.

This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Product Management, You will work closely with the Product leadership teams, Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Marketing and Support teams to execute a compelling product strategy.

The ideal candidate for this role has a background in building and scaling product(s), strong technical hardware, software and business acumen, and vision to deliver successful products that enable enterprise and commercial customers to meet their most challenging business and infrastructure demands in today's rapidly evolving technology landscape. 

Job Responsibilities
  • Gather, validate, and evaluate product/market requirements through market and customer research, competitive and product research involving customer visits, advisory councils, industry events, analyst relationships, etc.
  • Execute product vision, direction, and business plans, including product plans/roadmaps, product evolution and product lifecycle process.
  • Collaborate with R&D to translate market requirements into innovative new technology and deliver solutions that accelerate time-to-value for customers and time-to-revenue for NetApp.
  • Manage pricing and work with supply chain and procurement and vendor partners to improve margins and/or reduce costs.
  • Work with OEM and ISV partners to expand storage business to new market segments and industries.
Job Requirements
  • 10+ years in product management.
  • Experience in storage hardware and software product management.
  • Experience in server, networking and storage technology related experience for data centers, and understanding of storage technologies such as FCP, iSCSI, NVMe over Fibre Channel, NVMeOF over TCP/RoCE, Internet Wide-area RDMA Protocol (iWARP) for Ethernet and InfiniBand, SAS, and RAID.
  • Experience with HPC storage architectures and parallel filesystems.
  • Experience with AI data pipeline infrastructure.
  • Ability to build and/or use tools/models for BOM, Sizing, Pricing, etc purposes.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Experience working with teams across geographies and business units.
  • Excellent listening, oral, and written communication/presentation skills with strong ability to influence people at all levels and in various functions.
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary.
Preferred Requirements
  • P&L management experience.
  • Experience with JIRA.
  • Deep knowledge around CPUs, GPUs and DPUs and PCIe, NVMe and SSDs.
  • Contract negotiation experience especially around reseller and OEM contract negotiations.
  • MBA.
Travel Requirements
  • 10% to 25% of travel will be required.
Education
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 183,600 - 272,800 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off, various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
