Salary Range: $7,000.00-$7,500.00 per month commensurate with experience and qualifications
Summary
Assists in managing a program, providing multiple services to clients at the counseling center. Assists in supervision, hiring and training staff, budgeting and contract fulfillment, and assigns to perform or discharge special projects in areas of responsibility. Ensures maintenance of equipment, ordering of supplies, inventory and quality of service.
Essential Functions
The following responsibilities represent the essential functions of the position: An employee in this classification is responsible for carrying out the following functions:
1. Assures adequate program staffing through scheduling, recruitment, hiring, and orientation of direct service, substitute, and volunteer staff as assigned. Provides all aspects of supervision, evaluation, and training to staff.
2. Provides input to the manager regarding program and business development. Assists in the development of service designs and makes recommendations for new programs and services.
3. Acts as a resource for behavioral health, program development, and community resources; acts as a liaison between program services and the community.
4. Assists in developing and implementation of the Agency planning effort including department budgeting, policies and procedures, and the implementation of Agency goals.
5. Oversees accuracy and timeliness of billing, payroll, funding, inventories, training records, and various internal and external reports.
6. Provides oversight of daily operations and services including case management, communications, and advocacy and enures that quality services are provided in a timely manner.
7. Assures timely communications with persons receiving services, families, care providers, funding sources, staff, management and community. Conducts tours, presentations, and client orientations.
8. Attends service team meetings and Agency meetings; participates on Agency committees and in community meetings, representing the department as designated.
9. Assures compliance with all safety regulations and contract policies and procedures.
10. Provides direct service in program operations as needed to assure adequate staffing ratios.
11. Manages special projects or contracted services, as assigned.
12. Acts in manager's capacity, in absence of manager, as assigned.
13. Acts as a mandated abuse reporter.
14. Performs other duties as assigned to assure efficiency of program.
Qualifications Required
Must be licensed with the BBS. Master's degree in social work, psychology, or related field, plus at least two years of experience working with people with disabilities in a behavioral health environment, or an approved equivalent combination of experience and education.
Required Knowledge and Skills
1. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and database programs.
2. Ability to communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service.
3. Ability to facilitate systems and checks to assure delivery of quality services and products to internal and external customers.
4. Knowledge of the principles of management, supervision, planning, fiscal management, fair employment practices, regulations, safety, health, and client rights.
5. Ability to observe, evaluate, document, and communicate verbally and in writing.
6. Knowledge of behavioral health, program development, relevant legislation, rules, and regulations.
7. Ability to work independently and as a team member and relate to persons receiving services and their families or care providers. Upon request, able to represent the department in social, business, and community environments in which the Agency functions.
Environmental Conditions
An enclosed office environment. Time spent sitting, using a computer station, concentrating intensely for long periods, using the telephone, and completing paperwork. Time spent in meetings, in travel to various work site locations in three counties. Some exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
