Job Description:​

The Precision Control and Actuation Systems department consists of nearly 150 engineers working collab­oratively with internal and external customers and programs to provide innovative solutions for controlling our products motion, including ground, sea, and air launched vehi­cles used by a variety of end users who depend on the quality and integ­rity of our systems. Our systems in­clude control algorithms and firmware, electronic control units, ac­tuators containing high power mo­tors and precision gear trains, electronic harnessing design, and other components for interfacing with the vehicle and packaging the control assemblies. Due to the highly cross-functional nature of these sys­tems, we are constantly looking for talented engineers with a system-so­lution mindset. ​

This position is for a candidate who will be ready to contribute to the PCAS team with innovative solutions for challenging problems of mechanical/control systems and/or harness/interconnects.​

What You Will Do ​

You will contribute your knowledge of engineering practices and problem-solving to perform mechanical design and development activities.​

You will support, contribute, and collaborate in a team environment, receiving inputs from program or team experts, and work on projects, determining and developing approaches and solutions.​

Qualifications You Must Have

Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related field (STEM).​

Experience with CREO or 3D modeling tools.​

Experience with one of the following: baja/formula racing, robotics, rocketry, EV, RC/UAV, (club team, or internships/co-op acceptable).

Qualifications We Prefer ​

Specific majors: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related STEM discipline.​

GPA: 3.5

Knowledge of mechani­cal or electrical design, engineering, and analysis.​

Knowledge of manufac­turing methods and pro­cesses, including ma­chining, casting, forging, welding, and bonding.​

Knowledge of mechani­cal drawing practices, dimensioning, and tolerancing.​

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
