Job description

Summary The Grays Harbor Prosecuting Attorney's office is seeking motivated recent law school graduates who are eligible to take the Bar exam to fill open Deputy Prosecuting Attorney positions in the criminal division. Successful applicants will prosecute misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor cases in Grays Harbor District Court, such as DUI, fish & wildlife crimes, simple assaults, trespassing and theft. Applicants can expect to gain valuable lawyering skills, learning case preparation, legal research, motions practice, courtroom experience and trial skills alongside experienced prosecutors.

When the next administration of the Bar exam comes along, we'll make sure you have the time off to study and take the test. Wage for Rule 9 interns is $35/hr. Upon admission to the Bar, interns are eligible for promotion to Criminal Deputy Prosecuting Attorney I with a starting salary of $86,568/yr.
