Position Overview

Visit Casper is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and collaborative Associate Graphic Designer to support the organizationโ€™s visual storytelling, destination marketing efforts, and brand management initiatives. Working under the direction of the Director of Marketing & Communications in support of the Creative Manager, this position helps create compelling visual content that inspires travel to Natrona County while supporting community engagement, tourism education, partner communications, and organizational initiatives.


The Associate Graphic Designer plays a key role in executing Visit Casperโ€™s marketing campaigns across print, digital, social media, web, events, publications, and promotional materials. This position helps ensure brand consistency that elevates the Visit Casper brand and showcases our regionโ€™s unique experiences and character.

Visit Casper is the official destination marketing organization for Natrona County, Wyoming. Our mission is to be a driving force that draws visitors to Natrona County in support of our local economy and quality of life. Through strategic marketing, sales, destination development, and community engagement efforts, Visit Casper promotes the Casper area as a premier destination for leisure travel, meetings, conferences, sporting events, and outdoor recreation.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Graphic Design & Creative Development

  • Help produce marketing collateral, advertisements, brochures, visitor guides, maps, signage, presentations, and promotional materials.
  • Create graphics for digital marketing campaigns, social media platforms, websites, email marketing, and online advertising.
  • Support the development of visual assets for Visit Casperโ€™s tourism brands and campaigns, including seasonal initiatives and special projects.
  • Prepare files for print production and coordinate with vendors to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Produce materials for community engagement efforts, partner programs, tourism education initiatives, and organizational events.
  • Maintain consistency across all branded materials while adhering to established brand standards.

Content Creation & Marketing Support

  • Assist with photo selection, image editing, and graphic enhancement for marketing projects.
  • Create visual content for social media, blogs, newsletters, and website updates.
  • Support the development of presentations, reports, and board meeting materials.

Brand Stewardship

  • Ensure all creative materials align with Visit Casperโ€™s brand standards and messaging.
  • Help organize and maintain digital asset libraries, templates, photography, and design files.
  • Support brand implementation across internal and external communications.
  • Assist partners and stakeholders with approved brand usage when appropriate.

Collaboration & Project Management

  • Work closely with the Creative Manager, Director of Marketing & Communications, and marketing team members to execute projects on time and within budget.
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines using project management tools including Asana and CRM.
  • Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and campaign planning meetings.
  • Coordinate project revisions and approvals with internal staff and external partners.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist with event signage, displays, and promotional materials.
  • Attend community events, tourism functions, photo shoots, or marketing activities as needed.
  • Stay informed on current design trends, creative technologies, and tourism marketing best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • One to three years of graphic design experience preferred.
  • Internship, freelance, agency, or in-house design experience may be considered.
  • Experience working within brand standards and marketing environments is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including:

o InDesign

o Illustrator

o Photoshop

o Acrobat

  • Working knowledge of Canva and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing and social media design requirements.
  • Knowledge of print production processes and file preparation.
  • Strong typography, layout, and visual communication skills.
  • Ability to receive and implement creative feedback effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
  • Familiarity with website content management systems.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand for long periods of time (i.e. representing Visit Casper at conferences, tradeshows and/or receptions), sit, talk, hear and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, phone and telephone keyboard. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision requirements due to computer work. The employee will occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. The employee should be able to speak clearly and hear well when communicating over the phone and in person. The individual must be able to travel independently throughout the state, potentially traveling on domestic and/or international destinations via commercial airlines.
