Job Description:

At Ferguson, sales is about more than products and transactions. It is about relationships, trust, problem solving, and showing up for customers, communities, and one another. Our Sales Internship Program is designed for students who want to learn how great customer partnerships are built from the ground up while experiencing the culture, teamwork, and career growth that make Ferguson a place associates are proud to be part of.

During this 10-week paid summer internship, you will gain hands-on experience in a local branch, learn directly from experienced sales and operations associates, and see how Ferguson helps make complex customer projects simple, successful, and sustainable. You will be part of a team that values curiosity, accountability, collaboration, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with customers and colleagues.

What You Will Experience

  • Build customer service, product knowledge, sales process, and relationship management skills through real work in a Ferguson branch.

  • Work alongside experienced sales, operations, and branch leaders who will help you understand how we serve customers and support each other as a team.

  • Spend time in the warehouse, counter, inside sales, outside sales, and branch operations to see how every role contributes to the customer experience.

  • Participate in leadership and sales development experiences that connect your learning to Ferguson's business, culture, and values.

  • Contribute to a sales-focused project that gives you an opportunity to solve a real business challenge and present your insights to leaders.

Who Thrives Here

  • You are currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field and are a rising junior or senior.

  • You are available to work 10 consecutive weeks during the summer. Internship dates are June 7, 2027 through August 13, 2027.

  • You are motivated, curious, and willing to learn by jumping in, asking questions, and building relationships.

  • You enjoy working with people and understand that strong communication, follow-through, and trust are central to great customer service.

  • You are comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities may change and teamwork matters.

  • You are a real-world problem solver who is willing to roll up your sleeves and understand the business from the ground up.

  • You have basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
