Job Overview

Agent Advantage Recruiting is seeking a motivated senioryear student to join an awardwinning insurance agency in Birmingham as an intern agent. This position provides handson exposure to the daytoday activities of a licensed insurance agent, including client outreach, policy analysis, and support for sales and service operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the lead insurance agent with client prospecting, including phone calls, email outreach, and socialmedia engagement.
  • Help prepare and review insurance quotes (auto, home, business, life) and ensure accuracy of client information.
  • Participate in client meetings and shadow the agent to learn consultative sales techniques.
  • Maintain client records in the agencys management system, updating policy details, renewal dates, and contact information.
  • Conduct basic policy research and assist in preparing renewal and endorsement documentation.
  • Support the processing of applications, claims assistance, and followup communications with carriers.
  • Track and report on sales activities, lead generation metrics, and conversion rates for weekly team reviews.
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives such as community outreach events, flyers, and socialmedia posts.
  • Provide general administrative support, including scheduling appointments, preparing presentation materials, and handling office correspondence.
Essential Qualifications
