Position Overview
FI Consulting is seeking a Financial Analyst to support a federal financial management engagement. This role will support program operations, billing execution, financial reporting, customer revenue reconciliation, and budgetary analysis.
The ideal candidate has 4 or more years of experience with federal financial management, accounting, budgeting, or financial operations and enjoys working in a collaborative, project-based consulting environment.
Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day financial operations.
  • Execute monthly billing and reconciliation activities.
  • Monitor customer advance balances and process financial transactions.
  • Perform financial impact analyses and variance assessments.
  • Support revenue reconciliation and financial transparency reporting.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Prepare client-facing reports, presentations, and executive briefings.
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders and FI Consulting project leadership to meet project objectives.
  • Assist with automated financial reporting and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal financial management requirements and policies.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in financial analysis, accounting, budgeting, or financial operations.
  • Experience supporting federal proprietary accounting, budgetary accounting, billing execution, or financial reporting activities.
  • Demonstrated interest in emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), and the ability to evaluate and apply new technologies to solve business problems.
  • Strong proficiency with Google applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial information and communicate findings clearly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a client-facing consulting environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Must be available to work onsite in Washington, DC upon project start.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of G-Invoicing, IPAC, or other federal financial management processes.
  • Experience supporting federal agencies or shared service environments.
  • CPA, CGFM, or other relevant professional certification.
