conduct outreach to coalition members and document participation during coalition calls.
  • Research & Preparation: Help advance campaign goals through targeted research tasks, including identifying state legislative prospects, compiling a list of new coalition prospects lists, and providing key data points on the True Cost of Economic Security.
  • Administrative Campaign Support: Assist with general administrative tasks including but not limited to meeting minutes, tracking project action items, and the campaign’s document management infrastructure.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE INCLUDE:

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a graduate or undergraduate program in public policy, political science, social work, law, economics, or related field.
  • Introductory understanding of policy and advocacy landscape on key economic security issues.

  • Strong interest in public policy, economic and social justice, and civil rights.
  • Creative and adaptive problem solver.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

COMPENSATION:

$20 to 25 per hour, commensurate with experience.

The role is structured at approximately 21 hours per week (3 full days), though additional hours may be available during the summer months. Should the internship extend into the fall, hours would adjust as needed to accommodate the candidate's schedule and the campaign's priorities.
