Internship Program Overview

The Polaris Human Resources Internship(HRIP)is a tailored 12-week paid summer internship designed for emerging juniors and seniors who are interested in pursuing a career in a leading global powersports industry.

The HR Internship Program is designed to provide a meaningful HR experience while helping participants explore career paths in Human Resources and develop foundational capabilities for future leadership opportunities. Successful interns may be considered for future internship or HRLDP opportunities based on performance, business needs, and demonstrated potential.

Interns are placed on one specific HR team based on businessneedand individual interests. Opportunities may include:

  • HR Business Partner (HRBP):Partner with business leaders to align talent strategies with organizational goals, support workforce initiatives, and drive business performance.Internship Locations Could Include: Medina, MN; Plymouth, MN; Wyoming, MN
  • HR Generalist (HRG):Support frontline manufacturing operations through employee relations, workforce planning, leader coaching, and day-to-day HR partnership.Internship Locations Could Include: Roseau, MN; Huntsville, AL; Rigby, ID
  • Center of Excellence (CoE):Help design and deliver enterprise-wide HR programs, systems, and strategies that support employees, leaders, and HR teams across Polaris. Potential focus areas include Organizational Development, Compensation, Early Talent, Labor and EmployeeRelationsand Talent Analytics & Operations.Internship Locations Could Include: Medina, MN; Plymouth, MN; Wyoming, MN

  • Mentorship:you are paired with one of our DP associates for mentor support throughout your 12-weeks.

  • LeaderInsightSeries:weekly functionalandcentralized learning sessions to broaden your knowledge base, both within and beyond your program.

  • Networking:intentional time with peers and leaders at Polaris to build your professional network.

  • Intern Innovation Challenge:internal case study designed to promote cross functional development whereyou and your team will presentcreative and practical solutions to a real 'Polaris' problemto our executive leadership.

  • Early Talent Summit Week:participatein our2-day event in our Wyoming, MN office. This immersive experience brings together all US interns and DPs for professional development, structured networking, a DP graduation event, inspiring executive speakers, and a thrilling team ride on some of your favorite Polaris vehicles.

  • Community Engagement: opportunity to get involved in your local community.

  • InternshipShowcase:presentto our senior level leaders toshowcaseyour career aspirations and recap your internship experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuing aBachelors/Master's degree in Business, Human Resources, or other related business degree with an intended graduation date between August 2027- May 2029.
  • Minimumoverall GPA of 3.0
  • Must be able to commit to a full 12-week internship, working40 hoursper week, within one of the following date ranges:May17th- August6th or June 1st- August 20th, 2027
  • Open to geographic mobility and relocation opportunities
  • Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) and not require sponsorship for employment now or in the future.
  • Must have reliable transportation for daily commuting to and from the office.
  • Previousexperience with Microsoft Office software tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word).

Successful Candidates Typically Demonstrate:

  • Proven initiative via projects, teams, community groups, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance school and extra-curricular associated activities
  • Interested in HRLDP program
  • Previousleadership experience in work, organizations, orclassroom.
  • Demonstrated strengths in analysis, creative problem-solving, communication, interpersonal relationships, self-motivation, and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previousinternship/co-op experience or involvement in relevant projects.
  • Previousemploymentfull time or parttime
  • Completion of at least two years of university coursework

The Selection Process:

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the fall. Selected candidates will be invited toparticipatein a phone screen followed by a virtual interview with Polaris HR leaders. Candidates who successfully complete the interview process may receive an internship offer. Internship assignments arefinalizedin February based on candidate interests, strengths, and business needs.

Intern Relocation Assistance:

Polaris provides relocation support for eligible interns working 35+ miles from their assigned location. Benefits may include arelocationstipend andassistancewith securing temporary housing accommodations. Internsare responsible fordaily transportation to and from their work location.

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $21.50 to $31.50 per hour, plus eligibility for overtime.Individual pay and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.

To qualify for this position, former employees must be eligible for rehire, and current employees must be in good standing.
