Job description

The Senior Software Consultant II takes great pride in building highly scalable services using modern solutions using best practice engineering, automation, and cloud-forward methodologies. A typical day might include:

  • Brainstorming with fellow consultants and solution architects on how to build a scalable, responsive portal for a construction project management system
  • Designing, developing, integrating, and customizing Oracle and other platforms using object-oriented development (e.g., Java), SQL, and modern web technologies such as HTML/CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Implementing content-focused solutions, including web content management, document management, digital asset management, records management, and workflow automation for a manufacturing company
  • Integrating with cloud services, databases, and APIs, and presenting the information to a user based on their role and geographic location
  • Interacting with customers to understand their business problems and brainstorming creative solutions that leverage AI-supported features
  • Developing documentation for software and customizations, including user guides, installation guides, requirements analysis, design specifications, and custom training materials
  • Supporting pre-sales activities, including, estimates, SOW contributions, and technical input during sales cycles.

This job might be for you if:

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • You have 10+ years of development experience, ideally within consulting
  • You have strong experience with object-oriented development (Java, C#, Python) and relational databases
  • You are comfortable reviewing and guiding front-end development (HTML/CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript)
  • You have knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the full software development lifecycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control management (Git), design patterns, testing, and CI/CD awareness.
  • You have experience with web/app server technologies (IIS, Apache, Tomcat, WebLogic, NGINX).
  • You have experience with Linux/UNIX/Windows administration (permissions, file management, remote access)
  • You have worked with content and document management platforms such as Oracle WebCenter or Oracle Content Management (OCM)
  • You are familiar with cloud architecture and services (OCI, Azure, AWS) and modern integration approaches
  • You have experience or interest in Generative AI, AI/ML, or LLM-supported solution patterns
  • You are a self-starter, results-oriented, and able to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • You can fill the technical lead role on large projects and mentor team members.
  • You demonstrate good judgment, tact, and a clear purpose while under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • You have excellent time management and prioritization skills and the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects at once.
  • You can travel up to 25%.
