Monday Night Brewing is an award-winning craft brewery based out of Atlanta, with a distribution footprint across Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and North Carolina. We currently operate two taprooms in Atlanta, GA, a brewpub in Birmingham, AL, a full-service taproom in Nashville, TN, a brewpub in Charlotte, NC, and a taproom in Knoxville, TN. In our fourteenth year of operation, we are proud to produce a vast portfolio-spanning from small batch New England IPAs to barrel-aged stouts, approachable kettle sours to mixed culture ambers and hop-forward West Coast IPAs.

Monday Night Brewing is seeking a part-time Shift Lead to join our growing team and operate the bar in the taproom at Monday Night Garden Co. (South End neighborhood).

High-Level Goals:

  • Ensuring customers receive an excellent experience
  • Successful completion of opening and closing taproom checklists
  • Directing coworkers during shifts on task completion, customer experience, cleanliness, beer releases, and other duties as needed
  • Understanding and abiding by federal and state alcohol regulations

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for daily opening and/or closing tasks of taproom:
    • Upholding all sanitization, safety and cleanliness protocols including regular surface wipe downs, restroom cleaning, capacity checking, glassware sanitation and more as set by Leadership
    • Ensure bars are stocked with clean glassware, supplies and fresh beer
    • Ensure merchandise is stocked and displayed correctly
    • Ensure all aspects of the taproom are clean and tidy including seating areas, restrooms, bar areas, patios, parking lot etc; pre-opening and through-out the shift, and end of day
    • Follow guidelines to ensure quality of the taproom experience including music selection and volume, video display, games and firepits.
    • Work closely with General Manager and complete any tasks needed
  • Ensure guests have an excellent customer experience
  • Cultivate positive work experiences for coworkers by carrying an attitude of adaptability and team-playerness
  • Responsible for in-person training for newly hired bartenders when assigned by General Manager
  • ServSafe alcohol certification

Reports to:

  • General Manager

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to climb, lift, reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift at least 40 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours in a hot, wet, humid and loud environment. This position is extremely physical and demanding in nature and involves working with potentially dangerous equipment, machinery, exposure to high noise levels, and handling of hazardous materials.
  • Uses repetitive motions
  • Can work in both hot and cold temperatures

Compensation:

  • $5.00/hourly + tip share
  • Monday Night Brewing will guarantee a minimum $15/hourly for all tipped employees when tips do not reach $15/hourly over the course of a pay period.
  • $17.00/hourly for administrative tasks
