Monday Night Brewing is an award-winning craft brewery based out of Atlanta, with a distribution footprint across Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee. We currently operate two taprooms in Atlanta, GA, a brewpub in Birmingham, AL, a full-service taproom in Nashville, TN, a full-service taproom in Charlotte, NC, and a taproom in Knoxville, TN. In our fourteenth year of operation, we are proud to produce a vast portfolio-spanning from small batch New England IPAs to barrel-aged stouts, approachable kettle sours to mixed culture ambers and hop-forward West Coast IPAs.

Monday Night Brewing is seeking part-time Bartenders to join our growing team and operate the bar in the taproom at Monday Night Garage (West End Historic District). Bartenders are responsible for demonstrating enthusiasm and top-notch hospitality, knowledge about beer, cocktails, and pizza. Bartenders must ensure compliance with alcohol laws. Bartenders must strive to make the guests' Monday Night experience memorable and comfortable, as well as serve as a positive, adaptable team-player. This is a part-time position.

Reports to:

  • General Manager

High-Level Goals:

  • Contribute to the overall guest experience.
  • Must have a willingness and enthusiasm to learn about beer, cocktails, and pizza, and share that knowledge with others.

Responsibilities:

      • Serve guests beer and crafted cocktails through a draft system, as well as selling brewery merchandise, and packaged beer.
      • Execute on all aspects of the cocktail program including batching cocktails, preparing garnishes, serving guests cocktails through a draft system, adding correct garnishes, etc.
      • Use a Point-of-Sale System to ring up credit transactions, as well as managing open bar tabs.
      • Politely but firmly enforce tasting room and brewery rules and regulations.
      • Ensure that the tasting room and grounds, including the parking lot, and restrooms are thoroughly cleaned and prepped before and after each shift.
      • Work closely with the General Manager and Head Bartender, helping wherever needed.
      • Work closely with Venue Coordinator if serving as bartender at private events, helping wherever needed.
      • Bartend when the taproom is open to the public.
      • Provide excellent customer experience to create brand loyalty and grow the business.
      • Cultivate positive work environments for coworkers by being an adaptable team-player.
      • Work 3-4 weekends per month.
      • Support larger public events throughout the year such as Tie One On, Carve in the Courtyard, PROM, etc. with staging, bartending, and breakdown.
      • Remain knowledgeable of the pizza kitchen items and offerings to sell to customers.
      • Perform all opening and closing tasks listed in SOP's.
      • Carry all duties with commitment to the Easy E's (Excellence, Engagement, Education, Environment, Everyone).
      • Complete any assigned trainings via Schoox
      • Other duties as assigned

Compensation:

  • $2.13 per hour plus share of tip pool
  • Monday Night Brewing will cover the difference to match $15/hour when tip pool doesn't cover

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to climb, lift, reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift at least 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours in a hot, wet, humid, and loud environment.
  • The position is extremely physical and demanding in nature and involves working with potentially dangerous equipment, machinery, exposure to high noise levels, and handling of hazardous materials.
  • Uses repetitive motions.
  • Can work in both hot and cold temperatures.
