Centurion Financial Strategies is a financial planning and investment advisory firm that helps individuals and families make wise financial decisions, prepare for retirement, manage investments, and navigate important life transitions.
About The Role
We are looking for a college student who lives near Bloomington, Minnesota, and is interested in financial planning, research, marketing, and business operations. You must be able to work in person from our Bloomington office when your class schedule allows.
Most of your time will be spent supporting Centurion Financial Strategies through financial planning research, client meeting preparation, marketing projects, data organization, and improvements to our internal systems.
You will also help Generation Family Properties with two unique projects:
Messy Title focuses on properties with complicated ownership situations, such as deceased owners, multiple heirs, unresolved estates, or delinquent taxes. You may research property records, family histories, obituaries, probate information, and possible heirs. Think of it as part real estate, part genealogy, and part detective work.
The Land UnConference is a community and event series for land investors focused on conversations, networking, and learning from other attendees—not sitting quietly through eight hours of PowerPoint presentations. You may help with marketing, social media, attendee communication, event research, and planning.
Compensation:$14 hourly
Helping prepare for financial planning client meetings
Researching financial planning topics and organizing client information
Creating marketing content, social media posts, emails, or videos
Researching property records, family histories, and possible heirs
Helping market and plan the Land UnConference
Improving workflows and using AI or other technology to work more efficiently
Occasionally receiving a project that begins with, “We have an idea…”
What You’ll Learn
How financial plans and client meetings come together
Financial planning and investment concepts
Marketing, content creation, and event planning
Property ownership and public-record research
How we operate behind the scenes
How to turn a slightly messy idea—or spreadsheet—into something useful
Currently enrolled in college and living near Bloomington, Minnesota
Able to work in person around their class schedule
Interested in finance, marketing, real estate, or research
Curious, organized, dependable, and willing to dig for answers
A strong communicator who is comfortable asking questions
Comfortable with spreadsheets, documents, and online tools
Able to work independently without needing every single step explained
Not terrified by complicated research or an imperfect spreadsheet
What We Offer:
$14 per hour.
A results-oriented commission equal to 8% of the gross profit on properties you directly help acquire, paid after the property sells.
Why This Internship Is Different
You will not spend the internship watching from the sidelines or becoming the office coffee expert.
You will help with real client preparation, financial research, marketing campaigns, property investigations, and events. Some assignments will have clear instructions. Others will start with a question or idea and require you to help determine the best next step.
For the right candidate, this internship may also create an opportunity for additional responsibilities or a future full-time role.
We are a small but successful land flipping firm. We’ve been in business since 2017 and have built a seven-figure revenue business. We have continued to grow each and every year so far.
We use direct mail, cold calling, online advertising, and other marketing campaigns to acquire land and distressed properties at a discount from sellers who may live far away, no longer use the property, inherited it, fell behind on taxes, or simply do not know how to resolve the situation.
After purchasing, we work through the problems, prepare the property for resale, and sell it closer to market value.
We buy from the people who see it as trash and sell it to the people who see it as treasure.
We look for properties that other investors overlook because the ownership is confusing, the family situation is complicated, or the research requires more patience than most people are willing to give it.
