Job description

The Lehigh Valley Phantoms, American Hockey League affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, are seeking a Game Day Coordinator Intern for the 2026-27 hockey season.
This position is a paid game day internship for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms' Game Presentation Department, running through the 2026-27 AHL hockey season. The ideal candidate is required to split hours between game days/nights and normal office hours (depending on the home game schedule) to assist the Senior Manager of Game Presentation and other members of the Phantoms organization, on an as-needed basis.
The Game Day Coordinator Intern will gain extensive experience in Game Presentation, including coordinating game day teams such as the Ice Crew, Phantoms Energy Team, and more. This internship will focus on game nights and execution of promotions and fan experiences in-game. The Game Day Coordinator Intern will be included throughout the entire process of promotional execution from concept level through game night activation.

INTERNSHIP DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work directly under the Senior Manager of Game Presentation on game days
  • Setup and breakdown of game day equipment
  • Copy writing and proofreading written game day materials such as the Public Announcer/Host game scripts WITHOUT relying on generative writing AI models like ChatGPT, Claude, etc.,
  • Assist in the execution of game-night promotions, sponsor activations, and fan experiences
  • Help coordinate theme nights and promotions
  • Manage part-time game day staff that are under the Game Presentation & Creative Department
  • Assist with additional tasks and projects associated with the new Lehigh Valley MASL soccer team debuting in December 2026

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Very detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to take initiative and lead
  • Enthusiasm for thinking outside the box
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud programs (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, or After Effects) is a plus, but not required
