Job Description
At Asurion we're obsessed with gadgets and gizmos. We're the folks standing in line on launch day waiting for the latest smartphone or gaming console. We love all things tech and we're experts at what we do.
The Direct Mail-in Repair Associate is responsible for receiving, processing, and shipping of devices mailed in by subscribers in a timely manner. The DMIR Associate reviews our daily customer commitments are met by ensuring product is accurately moved into and out of the department and inspection orders are created as needed to clear priorities.
Starting Pay - $16.25, per hour + quarterly incentive
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assist in Investigating Correct Sales Order and Correct type of return
  • Confirm Original Equipment (Salvage) and Product Returns (Devices shipped by Asurion)
  • For Product Returns: Correct Vendor, PO and Receipt Date
  • Research and Identify devices, i.e. unlocking devices (such as I Phones, Net Books, Tablets) to locate ESN/MEID/IMEI
  • Collect and return subscriber equipment (i.e. misdirected returns, memory cards, accessories, personal items and mail back to subscribers as requested.
  • Unlock device and wipe data prior to repair processing.
  • Properly label and secure devices that cannot be unlocked or wiped.
  • Package, track, and ship repairs.
  • Promote the company's Core Values and adherence to those values.
  • Collaborate pro-actively and successfully across departmental boundaries.
  • Maintain satisfactory quality performance levels.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Based on business needs to be able to stand or sit
  • Any other duties assigned by Leadership based on business needs/customer risk
  • Verify the accuracy of and timely transfer inventory parts into and out of Receiving Inspection locations
  • Using various tools to create inspection orders as needed to fulfill daily shipment needs
  • Monitor inventory levels and work with management to ensure a continuous flow of work to the floor
  • Any other duties assigned by Leadership based on business needs/customer risk

Work Environment and Abilities: The DMIR Associate works in a climate-controlled warehouse environment. The DMIR Associate must be able to stand for long periods of time and work in a repetitive motion. This person must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work: This position is a full-time, hourly role. Workdays and hours may vary.
