Job description

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned full-stack software engineer who can design, build, test, deploy, and operate end-to-end solutions that improve tooling, automation, testing infrastructure, and operational workflows.

This role is ideal for a quality-minded engineer who is comfortable across frontend, backend, developer tooling, test automation, and platform reliability. The right person should be able to identify areas for improvement, build practical solutions, troubleshoot issues across the stack, and help teams move faster with more confidence.

Core Responsibilities

Full-Stack Development

Build and maintain full-stack applications that support device automation, testing infrastructure, developer tooling, and operational workflows.

Design, develop, test, deploy, and operate end-to-end solutions using modern frontend frameworks, backend services, APIs, and supporting infrastructure.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues across frontend applications, backend services, integrations, automation systems, and operational tooling.

Developer Tooling & Workflow Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve internal tools, automation, feedback loops, and operational workflows.

Build tools and services that help developers and QA teams move faster, improve confidence in code delivery, and reduce manual or repetitive work.

Partner with engineering, QA, product, and operations stakeholders to understand pain points and shape effective solutions.

Quality, Testing & Automation

Drive testing strategies and automation frameworks that improve quality, reliability, and release confidence.

Support scalable testing approaches for smart TVs, set-top devices, and other connected-device environments.

Improve testability, observability, reliability, and maintainability across internal tools and services.

Architecture & Technical Leadership

Evaluate frontend architectures, backend systems, user experience flows, and technical tradeoffs.

Maintain and improve legacy systems while balancing refactoring, rebuilding, and buying solutions.

Lead or support large-scale technical initiatives across functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

7+ years of software development experience, with a focus on creating and maintaining full-stack applications.

Strong experience with modern UI frameworks, preferably React.

Strong JavaScript and TypeScript experience.

Experience building backend systems with Node.js and scalable service frameworks.

Experience with Java, Spring Boot, or equivalent backend frameworks.

Experience designing, building, testing, deploying, and operating production software.

Experience troubleshooting issues across the stack, including backend services, integrations, and operational systems.

Experience with testing strategies, automation frameworks, and quality-focused engineering practices.

Ability to work across legacy and modern systems while evaluating technical tradeoffs.

Strong communication skills and ability to partner with engineering, QA, product, and operations stakeholders.

Nice to Have

Experience building internal developer tools, testing infrastructure, automation platforms, or operational workflow tools.

Experience with device automation, smart TV applications, set-top devices, or partner device ecosystems.

Experience improving developer feedback loops and software delivery confidence.

Experience using AI tools or AI-assisted workflows to improve engineering efficiency, testing, automation, or operational processes.

Experience leading large-scale projects across functional teams.

Strong UX instincts and the ability to evaluate frontend architecture and user experience flows.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a versatile full-stack engineer who cares about quality, developer experience, and operational excellence. They are comfortable working across frontend, backend, testing, automation, and infrastructure, and they can help shape both the โ€œwhatโ€ and the โ€œwhyโ€ behind the tools the team builds.

They should be growth-minded, pragmatic, and excited to learn and leverage both in-house and open-source frameworks and services to improve how teams build, test, and deliver software.
