Job description

FirstLink is looking for part-time Helpline Specialist Interns to help respond to help-seekers reaching the local 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and 211 Information & Referral Helpline. The intern will provide emotional support and empowerment, offer appropriate referrals to community resources, and facilitate safety assessments and safety planning to those in crisis. This position may assist with other aspects of helpline operations to develop skills and competencies relevant to their program of study. 

We are looking for individuals who have the desire to help others through compassionate and empathetic care. Interns must be enrolled in a college or university and be receiving credit for the internship experience.
