Industrial machines break down when the wrong fluid power system is specified. They run for decades when the right engineer was involved from the start. The customers in this role are not looking for a salesperson. They are looking for someone who understands their equipment and can solve their problems.
This role is for that engineer.
A family owned industrial distribution company with 101 locations across 17 states is looking for a Regional Sales Engineer in Dallas to drive fluid power sales and provide advanced technical support across their customer base. The company has been growing since 1945 and operates across 14 business units giving you exposure to automation, hydraulics, electrical, bearings, power transmission, conveying and material handling.
What you get:
  • $80,000 to $90,000 a year
  • Medical, dental and vision coverage
  • Life insurance
  • 401(k) with employer matching
  • Vacation benefits
  • Stability in a family owned company with nearly 80 years of continuous growth

What you will be doing:
  • Driving fluid power sales and closing orders across regional accounts
  • Identifying target accounts and developing new prospects
  • Providing advanced technical application support via phone, video conference and in person
  • Producing and presenting hydraulic and pneumatic training for customers and internal teams
  • Utilizing AutoCAD, SolidWorks and manufacturer software to support technical solutions
  • Coordinating with branches and regional managers on fluid power systems
  • Staying current on new products and educating customers and team members on developments
  • Supporting warranty claims and working with suppliers to resolve difficult cases

What you need to bring:
  • Five years of hydraulic and pneumatic fluid power experience
  • Strong knowledge of fluid power engineering principles and technical problem solving
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams
  • Good driving record
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Mechatronics preferred but equivalent experience considered
