ROLE OVERVIEW


We are looking for a hardworking and passionate Fashion Design Intern to join our team this Spring 2026. As a Fashion Design Intern, you will work alongside the Woven team, Knits team and Print Design team to learn about all facets of the design process at LSF. Please see the below mandatory guidelines for applying to the LoveShackFancy design internship:


  • Interns MUST be a Fashion design student/major or have graduated with a Fashion Design degree
  • Interns MUST submit portfolio of Fashion design work in application
  • Interns MUST be in-person only
  • Interns MUST be able to commit 20 hours / week to internship


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Fashion Design team throughout all stages of the design process
  • Assist with compiling seasonal design packets by creating CADs and helping with sketch updates
  • Hand sketching as needed
  • Assist with the preparation of presentation concept boards and tableaus
  • Assist with organizing design all archives from in house samples to fabric sourcing headers
  • Attend key meetings to understand the creative process of developing product
  • Help to spec / measure garments as needed
  • Assist in creating repeat prints and creating original print colorways
  • Assist with hands-on tasks such as hand sewing and garment dying
  • Help to maintain overall office tidiness
  • Other duties, as required, to support the needs of the respective Design team

SKILLS, QUALITIES & BEHAVIORS

  • Must be proficient in Adobe Photoshop
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong ability to multitask
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong hand sketching ability to sketch garments as needed
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new programs quickly
  • Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
  • Must know how to hand sew (knowledge of machine sewing is encouraged)
  • The candidate should have knowledge of the ecommerce landscape and be familiar with competing brands in the market
  • Must have clear understanding of the LoveShackFancy brand and aesthetic.
