We are seeking a Flight Dispatcher to help plan, monitor, and support our flights.
The Dispatcher will share flight planning responsibilities with the flight crew. He or she is responsible for planning safe and efficient operation in accordance with federal aviation regulations and company standards. He or she reviews daily flight operations and informs appropriate personnel of any concerns affecting those operations.
The duties and responsibilities of the dispatcher include, but are not limited to:
  • Ensuring safety and regulatory standards are met or exceeded.
  • Flight planning: Creating and filing flight plans that include appropriate routings, weight and balance, and aircraft performance.
  • Fuel planning: Planning fuel uplifts to optimize aircraft efficiency, manage costs, and meet regulatory and operational requirements
  • Weather assessment: Evaluating weather conditions for all flights and planning efficient routes that avoid any undue delays or risk.
  • Briefings: Ensuring the flight crew and operations are properly briefed before departure. Providing plain-language briefs for clients.
  • Flight monitoring: Monitoring progress of all ongoing flights and communicating any recommendations for routing / schedule changes with flight crews and operations
  • Advising company personnel of potential safety concerns

Requisites
  • FAA Flight Dispatcher, ATP or Commercial Pilot License

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other
  • The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients, both verbally and in writing is a must
  • Knowledge of weather theory, charts, and reports
  • Familiarity with ARINC or compatible flight planning software
  • Must have knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, with an emphasis on Parts 91 and 135. Experience with oceanic/international operations is preferred.
  • Internship or prior work experience with an air carrier, FBO, flight department or airport is beneficial.
