Position Overview:The Supervisor, Export Trade Compliance is responsible for managing and developing individual team members. This position assists in the planning, developing and implementing new and revised Export Trade Compliance programs, policies and procedures in order to be responsive to the company's goals and competitive practices. This position is also responsible for assuring through audits, reports and connections with the team and the business that the company's Export Trade Compliance programs are consistently administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations.
This is a hybrid position, with a standard Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday onsite schedule. Other onsite work may be required as business needs dictate.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.Responsibilities:
  • Manage team & personal workload; defining, communicating & executing deliverables & their timelines to achieve business objectives & department goals
  • Make decisions guided by policies, procedures, business plans and past business experience
  • Provide mentorship to employees through effective training, coaching and team building
  • Perform or understand the work supervised and supervise entire team as needed
  • Engage regularly & appropriately with internal partners, key customers & suppliers as well as employees to maintain strong relationships and an understanding of internal & external factors and strategies impacting the business
  • Leading, planning and organizing team staff meetings. Providing business and team updates. Ensure that action items are completed in a timely manner
  • Understand and develop the talent of individuals on your team; partner with appropriate areas to organize development activities as needed
  • Advocate change by understanding the need and impact to the business. Communicate clearly with team members
  • Monitor and evaluate performance dashboards and reports; determine root cause of issues & propose recommendations for resolution. May lead improvement efforts
  • Build partnerships with other areas in the organization to ensure understanding of business strategies and impact to Trade Compliance and vice versa
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's Degree in International Business, Economics, Business Administration/Management or similar area of study or equivalent, relevant work experience. (Preferred)
  • 1+ year of experience with Trade Compliance (Preferred)
  • Previous supervisor experience (Preferred)
  • Ability to give constructive criticism in a positive manner; demonstrating conflict management skills as needed
  • Ability to hold self and others accountable to delivering business results.
  • Ability to analyze, understand and action off of statistical data for the department and company
  • Knowledge of the industry Digi-Key operates within (Preferred)
  • Experience at DigiKey in the following areas: Sales, Customer Service, Supplier Support (Preferred)
Tools / Systems / Software:
  • General - Prod, FileNet, Content Navigator, OCR, Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStrategy (Preferred)
  • Export - OCR (Preferred), ACE (Preferred)
  • Import - ACE (Preferred), FTZ management software (Preferred), Broker|Carrier Portals (Preferred)
Physical Requirements:
  • Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen
  • Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body
Compensation:

The base pay range for this position is:

$28.50

to

$39.25
