Corgan

Atlanta, GA • On-site

$27 - $31/hr

Temporary

Job description

Overview

At Corgan, we are passionate about great design, but the best thing we build is each other. Here, you'll find camaraderie and collaboration as abundantly as curiosity and creativity. Corgan is a welcoming and supportive environment where you'll find room to grow, freedom to explore, and the opportunity to make an impact from day one.

As an Architectural Intern, you won't just observe - you'll learn, contribute, ask questions, and experience what it's like to be part of a professional architecture team. You will work alongside world class architects and designers on real projects across one of our ten project sectors, applying what you learn in school to real-world challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Gain hands-on experience working on real projects from concept through construction.
  • Develop design and technical skills in Revit, construction documents, detailing, materials, renderings, models, and presentations.
  • Learn how architects balance design, codes, budgets, schedules, and construction requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, project managers, and consultants while receiving mentorship and feedback.
  • Explore a variety of project types and discover areas of architecture that interest you most.
  • Build your professional network through community service, team events, Lunch & Learns, Forum presentations, and other Corgan activities.
Qualifications
  • Pursuing a professional, NAAB-accredited degree in Architecture.
  • Familiarity with Revit and eagerness to learn additional relevant software and programs.
  • Interest in both design and technical excellence.
  • Collaborative work style, professional communication skills, and careful attention to detail.
  • Proactive, positive approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work as part of a diverse team.
  • Previous professional experience is not required-we're looking for curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn.

Additional Requirements

  • Full-time in-office presence, with exceptions granted only at the discretion of Sector Leadership, and only with written and documented approval.
  • Long periods working at a computer and desk regularly using computers, monitors, headsets, office equipment, and video/audio technology.
  • Collaborate continuously and communicate verbally and in writing with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Work effectively in an open-seating office without a private office.
  • Ability to manage multiple stimuli, including office noise, conversations, and interruptions, while maintaining focus and accuracy.
  • Frequently standing, sitting, walking, talking, and hearing.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Travel to other offices as needed (10-15%).

This position is designated as full-time on-site and requires the employee to be physically present at the assigned office location Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Regular, reliable on-site attendance is an essential function of this role.

Corgan creates opportunities for personal and professional growth that bring out the best in ourselves and those around us by sharpening skills, leveraging technology, and encouraging communication. Our commitment to the highest standards of professional ethics is unwavering. Our passion, drive for excellence, and abiding curiosity guide us each day in our interaction with our clients, partners, associates, and with each other. Corgan promotes a healthy work-life balance by removing obstacles and allowing you to focus on what you love doing, both inside and outside the office.
