Hazen and Sawyer is seeking an entry-level engineer for our Atlanta office for a variety of water-related assignments. As part of our Atlanta team, you will have exceptional opportunities to provide superior solutions to our clientsโ€™ most difficult problems through a variety of water related assignments and participate on design teams across an array of challenging projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working closely with a multi-discipline design team from initial studies and conceptual design through construction.
  • Working on water and wastewater projects related to municipal facilities and infrastructure.
  • Preparing engineering specifications, data sheets, sketches and drawings.
  • Performing engineering calculations.
  • Coordinating with discipline engineers (process mechanical, structural, architectural, HVAC, electrical, instrumentation and controls, and site civil) to collaborate on design and construction activities.
  • Reviewing contractor shop drawing submittals and RFIs.
  • Performing field work and site visits from design through construction.
  • Specific duties will vary depending on office needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Environmental, Civil or related engineering discipline
  • EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Entry Level to 4 years of experience
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in all computer software typically used (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masterโ€™s degree in Environmental, Civil or related engineering discipline
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revis BIM
