Job description

Job Summary:

To perform tasks necessary for maintaining continuous materials supply at each machine to enable efficient operations without disruption due to lack of materials. 2nd shift 3:45 pm - 12:16 am. (Training will be on 1st shift - 7:30 am - 4:00 pm)


Job Duties:

  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area/warehouse
  • Maintains a safe working environment by following environments by following all company safety policies and procedures and reports unsafe conditions and incidents
  • Maintains company's quality standards
  • Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved
  • Opens containers
  • Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
  • Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
  • Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination or signals crane or hoisting operators to move load to destination
  • Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet
  • Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers
  • Loads truck
  • Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together
  • Removes samples of materials and labels with identifying information
  • Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators
  • Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products


Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • One to two years of experience in a related field
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Exceptional attention to detail and good follow-up skills
  • Must possess good problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Willingness to work as team member or independently
