Pay Rate: $23.79 - $35.64

Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Alternating Saturdays: 

  • 11:00 am to 7:30 pm

I. Job Summary
Operates Stabilization Unit by performing the following duties. Successfully moves hazardous material through the facility, and conducts material audits. 
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 

  • Completes all Stabilization logs, Treatment Certifications, and Transfer logs.
  • Decides order of processing of loads.
  • Tracks hazardous waste through process.
  • Operates heavy equipment as required.
  • Computes mix ratios of reagents and adds reagent mixture to hazardous waste for treatment.
  • Calculates and reports material used and hazardous waste processed.
  • Operates Program Logic Controller system, Miltonic's inputting calculated data from lab ensuring reagents added to proper vats for treatment. The functions of the augurs, air fluffers, potable water, process water, and the selections of reagents are made from this program.
  • Monitors reagents mixture, ensuring no variance plus/minus 5%.
  • Coordinates activities of Heavy Equipment Operator, Hazardous Waste Material Sampler, and Stabilization Technician during operation of unit.
  • Interprets disposal decisions on management of hazardous waste profiles and relays safety precautions to affected employees.
  • Reference site-specific procedures and more detailed site-specific job descriptions.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Moves hazardous material through the facility with the use of material handling equipment (i.e. forklift, pallet jack, hoist, crane) as required.
  • Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
  • Uses the computer to dispense and receive information such as part numbers, quantities, locations, comments, etc.
  • Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
  • Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
  • Completes paperwork to properly document work performed.
  • Conducts material audits.
  • May provide support or direction to less experienced material handlers.

 Office: This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc.
This role is designated as safety sensitive and will require the successful candidate to strictly comply with all safety rules and protocols. Pay: The expected base pay range for this on-site position is $23.79 - $35.64 . This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
