Job description

ABOUT US
Rythm is the fastest-growing lab in America. We redefined at-home testing with the world's easiest blood test and created a culture around monthly lab testing from home. We've processed millions of tests across all 50 states, and we do everything in-house, from sample testing and logistics to code, marketing, and design. That vertical integration gives us the speed, control, and creativity to shape the future of health and wellness.
THE ROLE
We're looking for an Email Marketing Designer & Copywriter who is equal parts marketer, designer, and copywriter.
This is a hands-on creative role. We are not looking for someone who builds a strategy and hands it off to a design team. We're looking for someone who loves bringing campaigns to life themselves, from the first idea to the final send.
You'll own every aspect of our Email and SMS marketing strategy, including lifecycle automation, retention, customer acquisition, visual design, copywriting, segmentation, testing, analytics, and optimization. You'll create beautiful emails that people actually want to open, write copy that feels human instead of promotional, and continuously test new ways to improve customer engagement and lifetime value.
If your favorite part of the job is opening Figma, writing a headline that converts, obsessing over spacing, imagery, subject lines, and customer psychology, you'll thrive here.
WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEBODY WHO HAS:
  • 4+ years building email/lifecycle marketing campaigns for a high-growth consumer brand.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing both email design and copywriting. We expect to see work you've personally created, not campaigns you simply managed.
  • Exceptional visual design skills with experience creating polished, mobile-first emails using Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar tools.
  • Outstanding copywriting skills with the ability to write across promotional campaigns, product launches, onboarding, retention, educational content, and transactional messaging.
  • A deep understanding of typography, hierarchy, branding, layout, and visual storytelling.
  • Experience creating email templates, graphics, GIFs, banners, and other marketing assets.
  • Strong instincts for what makes people click, convert, subscribe, and come back.
  • Experience building lifecycle automation using platforms like Braze, Iterable, Klaviyo, Customer.io, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of customer segmentation, personalization, behavioral marketing, and A/B testing.
  • Ability to own projects from concept through execution without relying on outside creative resources.
  • Excellent attention to detail and an obsession with quality.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Design and build every Email and SMS campaign from concept to launch.
  • Write compelling subject lines, preview text, body copy, CTAs, and promotional messaging.
  • Create all supporting creative assets including graphics, layouts, imagery, and visual components.
  • Develop a consistent visual identity across every lifecycle touchpoint.
  • Own the customer journey from acquisition through retention and reactivation.
  • Build and optimize automated lifecycle journeys including onboarding, abandoned cart, referrals, win-back, replenishment, and subscription communications.
  • Create personalized experiences using behavioral data and customer segmentation.
  • Continuously test messaging, design, imagery, offers, layouts, and timing to improve performance.
  • Analyze campaign performance and use data to guide future creative decisions.
  • Collaborate with Product, Brand, and Growth teams while owning the execution of your work from beginning to end.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
Rythm Health offers a competitive benefits package which includes:
  • Highly competitive base salary.
  • Meaningful equity aligned with the scope and impact of your role.
  • Flexible, remote-first work environment.
  • Generous Paid Time Off and company holidays.
  • 401(k).
  • Monthly Rythm membership with full access to at-home blood testing and personalized health insights.
  • Healthcare with monthly premium fully covered by the business.
  • High ownership and visibility from day one, with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
  • The chance to help shape the future of personalized health and preventative care.
  • A small, collaborative, mission-driven team that moves quickly and values great ideas regardless of title.
